If these deadlines are missed, pilgrims will not be able to perform Umrah again until the new Umrah season opens after Hajj, expected around July 2026.

1. Last Date for Umrah Visa Issuance
March 19, 2026
From this date, the Umrah visa system will completely shut down. No new Umrah visas will be issued. This date aligns closely with Eid-ul-Fitr. If you are planning Umrah in late Ramadan or Shawwal, your visa must be issued before March 19.
2. Last Date to Enter Saudi Arabia
April 2, 2026
All Umrah pilgrims must physically arrive in Saudi Arabia by this date. Airlines will deny boarding to Umrah visa holders traveling after April 2.
3. Final Departure Date
All Umrah pilgrims must leave Saudi Arabia by this date. Remaining after April 18 is considered overstaying and violates Ministry regulations, as Saudi Arabia fully clears accommodations and transport networks to prepare for Hajj.

Does Umrah Close for the Whole Year?
No. Umrah does not close permanently.
